    Letter from the Headteacher

    Dear Parents/Carers

The spring term has been very busy for examination groups, completing non-examined assessments across a range of subjects, coursework and a second mock as well as preparing for their public examinations this summer.  The Easter break heralds the beginning of the final push for these students and we wish them all the very best with their efforts.  I would like to thank all of our staff who have given up their time to provide additional support and resources.

Students should be aware that there is no secret to doing well: it takes hard work and plenty of practice.  It is important however to stress that students must maintain a sense of perspective: Examinations are important but not to the detriment of health and wellbeing.  Students should be aware of the support on offer and parents should be encouraged to talk about managing time and anxiety.

I had the pleasure of attending a variety of performances over the Spring half-term all demonstrating the depth of talent of Queens’ students.  Many congratulations to all the participants in House Music and especially the overall winner, Turing.  The Drama examination performances were outstanding with emotive final A Level pieces.  The Gym and Dance Show showcased the energy and passion of those involved. There is something for everybody at Queens’.

Once again Queens’ is celebrating considerable success in sport.  In basketball, our Academy players secured promotion, the Under 14 Boys won the County Plate and our Senior Girls were runners up.   In football, our Year 7, 8, 11 boys are District League Champions.  Year 7 and 10 have to wait until Easter to find out.   Year 8 Boys were 6 a side District League Champions.  In rugby, Year 7 were Saracens Champions.  In gymnastics, our Level 3 girls were overall winners.  We are extremely proud of all of our very talented students who clearly embrace our vision and values.

We sadly say goodbye to Ms Cattley and Mrs Patel.  We wish them well and every success in the future.

I would like to extend my thanks for your support.  Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter break.  I look forward to seeing you again when we return on Monday 13 April 2026.
