Environmental Impact Day
On Tuesday 23rd June, some Year 10 students took part in an Environmental Impact Day at the University of Oxford. This joint Geography and Physics trip gave students the opportunity to take part in lab tours and interactive sessions, looking at how Physics helps us to predict climate change and how scientists are improving the efficiency of solar panels.
The day was inspiring and gave students a valuable insight into cutting-edge research and university courses and careers related to environmental science.

The Big Bang STEM Fair
On the 10th June, we brought 44 students to the NEC in Birmingham for the Big Bang Fair. This is a major event with hundreds of students from Year 6 to Year 8 who can interact with STEM professionals and learn about careers in STEM. There were lots of engaging stalls with companies such as EasyJet, Rolls Royce and the Zoological Society. The students loved finding out about all the interesting careers in STEM.
We all had a great day at the Big Bang STEM Fair—our students left all inspired and exhausted!

We loved meeting the passionate and inspiring technicians, especially the simulation technician who showed us all about medical dummies.
