Fairs, Fun, and Melodies
Thank you to everyone who got involved with House Music. While we did not get the result we wanted, you were amazing and we hope you join in next year. We also brought joy to our charity events, raising just over £112 at the 2025 Christmas Fair with our Wonder Wheel and Smack the Elf games. Our 2026 Valentines Fair kept the smiles going with Cupid's Arrow, The Wheel of Love, and Guess the Teddy's Name.

Seacole House

What an absolutely phenomenal term it has been for Seacole House! As we approach the break, I want to take a moment to reflect on everything we have achieved together and express my overwhelming pride in each and every one of you.
Charity
First and foremost, a massive thank you for all your charitable donations so far this year. I am thrilled to announce that we have raised almost £1,000 for our house charities: LIV Village and Watford General Children’s Ward! A recent highlight was our wonderfully successful Valentine’s Fair. It was brilliant to see so many students buying sweets, getting creative making their own bracelets, and taking part in our fantastic 'Guess the Name of the Jellycat' competition. Huge congratulations to Ed, our wonderful Science Technician, who correctly guessed the name and took home the lovely Beatrice!
Sports
On the sports front, Seacole has seen some truly incredible achievements. We have taken first place in three consecutive house sport events this half term: Year 9 Boys Basketball, Year 10 Boys Basketball, and Year 7 Girls Football! A huge thank you to all of our students for your participation in all house sport competitions, please keep it up. Your hard work means we are currently sitting in 2nd place for the Robert Brown Trophy, a mere 3 points away from the leaders. We must keep up our sporting efforts, and I am already looking forward to seeing what we can achieve on Sports Day. I am also beyond thrilled to announce that we are currently in 1st place in the new House Cup thank you, Seacole, you are absolutely smashing it!
House Music
I also want to express my huge congratulations and immense pride to all of our House Music contributors. You were quite simply OUTSTANDING on the night. The energy, time, and effort you put into making the performance happen truly paid off; you really were all pitch-perfect! A very special shoutout goes to Jasmine, who won Senior Soloist with her breathtaking rendition of Flashlight. You were up against such fiercely talented competition, Jasmine, and you were absolutely amazing. A special thank you to our Sixth Form Leadership Team, Pari and Charlotte; you have been incredible role models for the house.
Farewell
None of this year-long success would be possible without our Sixth Form Captains team. Alex, Charlotte, Pari, Charlotte, Iona, Gabriella and Chloe: you have been spectacular—helping us raise nearly £1,000, smash our sporting events, and deliver a hugely successful House Music performance. I am so honoured to have worked alongside you this year, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
Sadly, we must also say goodbye to Miss Cattley. We are so incredibly grateful for all your hard work and dedication to Seacole House, you were INSTRUMENTAL in our House Music competition, and we know that your form, 7SH, will miss you dearly, as will the rest of us!
Finally, a fond farewell and the very best of luck to all of our Year 11s and Year 13s. We have loved having you in Seacole, and you have all been amazing members of our house family. We are wishing you all the luck in the world for your upcoming exams.
Well done to everyone in Seacole House for such an amazing term. Have a wonderful, restful break!

Turing House

As we approach the end of the spring term, we have managed to continue our excellent start to the year for Turing House. Participation in House Sports has been higher than ever and the massive focus of course was the House Music competition. Every student has contributed to this success through their enthusiasm, commitment, and respect for one another, helping to make this term truly unforgettable.
House Music
A massive shoutout to the House Music Champions of 2026. These students turned up and practiced every week for over two months. This resulted in absolutely magical performances in the choir, solos and the ensemble piece. I could not be prouder of the students on that stage who embody what the Turing House spirit is all about!

House Sports
Firstly, a huge well done to all of our students. Your participation has for every event so far been amazing. Massive shout outs to year 10 girls’ basketball who both came in 1st in both football and basketball this year.

Charity Campaigns
Let's talk about the impact you’ve made through our charity work. The Valentine’s Fair was a massive highlight, raising incredible funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK. I want to give a huge shout-out to our Charity Prefects and our Arts and Charity Reps. It’s their vision and attitude that drove that success. They proved that when we bring a bit of creativity to the table, we can genuinely change lives.

Final message
This term has been a testament to the incredible spirit of Turing House. I am immensely proud of the dedication shown by every student, from the energy you brought to House events to the initiative shown in our fundraising efforts. Together, you have made our House a vibrant and valued part of Queen’s School.
Our successes this term are a direct result of the hard work of our student leaders. To my Prefect team: thank you for your dedication and for being the driving force behind such a positive term. You have led by example, and your impact has been felt across the entire House.
I hope you all have a fantastic Easter break. You have truly earned this time to rest. Let's come back next term ready to push further and reach the top of the leaderboard.
Kind Regards, Mr. Patel
