Queens' School Summer Term 2026 Newsletter

Welcome to Queens' School Summer Term 2026 Newsletter

Letter from the Headteacher

Dear Parents/Carers

As another successful school year comes to a close, I would like to thank all our students, families, staff, and trustees for their continued support and commitment throughout the year.

We have celebrated many achievements both inside and outside the classroom, from academic success and sporting accomplishments to performances, trips, and community events. Our students continued to demonstrate scholarship; tenacity, altruism, and respect, making us all proud to be part of the Queens' School community. Congratulations to everyone who has earned awards, represented the school, or contributed positively to our school community.

Students and staff enjoyed the end of examination celebrations with the Year 11 Prom and Year 13 Boat Party.  For the latter, this was a culmination of 7 years of commitment to Queens’ School and we were incredibly proud to see them off in style.  We wish all of our learners the very best of luck in the summer and continued success in the future.  A-Level students will receive their results on Thursday 13 August and GCSE students, a week later, on Thursday 20 August.  Staff will be present on both days to help students make an informed choice about the next stage of their learning journey. Parents/Carers are always welcome.

Many of our staff leavers this year have given years of dedicated service and collectively made an outstanding contribution to Queens’ and its students.  I would like to wish them the best of luck for the future.  I would especially like to thank Mr Ragbir (3 years), Mrs Kent (4 years), Ms Pearce (5 years), Ms Montes (5 years) and Mrs Kinshuck (6 years).  Mrs Lynch (8 years) and Mrs O’Brien (14 years) retire this year.

Thank you once again to everyone who has contributed to another wonderful year at Queens' School. Your enthusiasm, partnership, and support help make our school a vibrant and welcoming place to learn.

Wishing all members of our school community a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer holiday.  We look forward to welcoming students back in September, ready for another exciting year of learning and opportunity.
