What have our 3 Academy teams been doing this half-term?

Queens' Boys Football Academy
Building Something Special
The new season has kicked off with real intent and a sense of purpose for our Boys Football Academy team. From day one, the focus has been clear: build a solid culture grounded in discipline, high standards, and relentless work ethic.
Our training schedule has reflected this ambition. The lads have been pushing themselves from the early hours – with 7:30am SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness) sessions every Monday morning setting the tone for the week. This is followed up with intense technical work, match analysis, small-sided games, and structured Strength & Conditioning sessions led by Sam Harper. Every session has been delivered with high energy and total commitment.
After a couple of tough results to start the year, the team secured their first win last Wednesday with a well-earned 1-0 victory against Capital City College. Zac Harvey netted the decisive goal – a moment that was a long time coming and thoroughly deserved for the effort the squad has been putting in on and off the pitch.
This win represents more than just three points; it's a sign that the foundations we’re building are beginning to take shape in real competition.
We’re excited to see how the next few months unfold as the boys continue to develop, grow, and compete at a high level. The journey is just beginning – and the best is yet to come.

Queens' Girls Football Academy
Although so far the results have not gone the way we wanted, the atmosphere amongst the girls has improved over the last few weeks, and we've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes in hopes of better results to come. The squad is growing and remains determined to see brighter days as we work hard for ourselves and each other.
I am really proud of the way the girls have stuck at it and with quiet determination I know we will get there.
Please continue to support us from the sidelines and encourage them every chance you get as you see them around school.

Happy half-term everyone!
