Fundraising & Marketing - October Newsletter

Welcome to the first Fundraising & Marketing Newsletter of the 2025/2026 Academic Year!
It's been a busy first half-term of the new academic year in the Fundraising & Marketing Team with lots of exciting initiatives kicking off.
Queens' Den 2025
Yes it's back and it's even bigger and better than last year!
We have asked all our pupils from Year 7-10 to think about what business they would set up with an initial invesment of £25. They need to get into teams and pitch their idea to the Queens' Dragons. The Dragons will choose 2 teams per year to invest in and set up their businesses. The team that raises the most money by the end of the term will win a fantastic prize and every entrant will win House Points.
Pitch meetings for prospective teams start the week after half-term so we are asking pupils to look at Classcharts for information how they can take part in this exciting initiative!

Last year our 6 finalists raised over £1,500 for the School with the winning team "JAIRES" raising an astonishing £900 from their Sweet Cone Business.

Grant News
We are thrilled that our Head of PE, Mrs Marks, has been awarded a grant of £1,200 for a new treadmill and exercise bench for the PE department. These items will enhance our fitness suite and provide significant benefits for all students and will allow us to broaden the variety of exercises on offer, supporting cardiovascular health, strength development, and overall fitness.
The Queens' School Development Fund
The Development Fund was set up to help provide and improve facilities and opportunities for our pupils. All contributions to the fund will be used for the things that the school may not otherwise be able to afford in the current funding climate.
After discussions with pupils we have decided that for academic year 2025/2026 we want to raise money to purchase a selection of outdoor equipment for our pupils to use during break and lunchtimes. Feedback from our pupils is that there is not much to do in the outside areas of school, and they really want to have some fun and exciting equipment to help make their free time more enjoyable. We also feel, by having more equipment outdoors, that those children who prefer to stay inside will be encouraged to spend their breaks outside.

Amazon Wishlists
Buying an item from the Queens’ School Amazon Wishlists is an easy way to directly support the teachers and pupils. Each department has their own list containing items that will enhance their lessons and they range vastly in price so there is an item to suit everyone’s budget. Please consider buying an item to thank a specific teacher or department or for the School as a whole.
The Amazon Wishlists can be found HERE.
Queens’ School 100 Club
The Queens’ 100 Club is a fun way to support the school and be in with a chance of winning a monthly cash prize. For only £24 per year you will be entered into a monthly prize draw to win 50% of the month’s takings. The other 50% will go directly to the School. All information can be found HERE.
Other ways to Support The School
