Dare to be Great

Thank you to all the parents and carers who have so far contributed to the Queens' School Development Fund. We are thrilled to say we have been able to buy a number of @benq.uk interactive screens for our classrooms. Mrs Padgham, Mr Harris, Mr Ali, Ms Watkins, Mr Penhaligon, Mrs Hussein, Ms Kinshuck, Mr Ragbir and Mr Ringshaw have all had screens installed in their classrooms and have fed back how much of a positive impact they have already had on their pupils. We are looking to raise £25,000 so we can install another 10-12 screens so even more pupils can benefit. Sadly less than 2% of parents and carers currently contribute to the Fund so we are very far away from this target. Please consider making a regular or one off donation to the Fund so we can ensure all our pupils can benefit from these screens. Some of our Year 12 students have volunteered to act as reading buddies to Year 7's to help with reading skills. The library hosted the first Reading Buddies session last Friday morning and it was lovely to see and hear reading in action.
