Sports Day – Thursday 17 July: Sports Day is at Woodside Athletics Stadium on Thursday 17th July. All students in years 7-10 are to attend and registers will be taken by form tutors at the venue between 8.30am – 8.45am. Students arriving late (after 8.45am) will need to sign in at the front desk. Any absence on this day should be reported to the attendance officer in the usual way. The school office will be open as normal. Letters about transport arrangements and further details about the day itself will be emailed to parents. Non-Uniform Day – Friday 18 July: We encourage students to donate £2 to help raise funds for the charitable work of the four Houses. Any student wishing to take part in the non-uniform day should bring £2 to school on Thursday or Friday of the last week and put it in the collection buckets that staff will be holding on both gates from 8am-8.30am. They can also hand in their donations at the offices on both North and South sides. All funds will be shared equally between the Houses (Attenborough, Franklin, Seacole and Turing - funds will be donated to charities chosen by the students). Early finish – Friday 18 July: The summer term will end at 12.30pm. After period 3, students will be dismissed by their teachers and expected to make their way home immediately. Lunch will not be served on this day but students will be able to purchase food from the canteens at break time as per usual. School buses will run as normal in the morning but will pick up at 12.15pm rather than 3pm at the end of the day. The last day of term will be a non-uniform day. Have a great summer and we can't wait to see you again in September!!
