Friday debates are returning this term! For those who are new to Queens, these aim to be thought provoking and challenging topics in which students debate either one another or staff (if they are brave enough!). These take place on Friday lunchtimes 13:25-13:55 in Room 20 (towerblock on South) keep an eye out for posters. The first will be on Friday 14th February between Marcey W and James T in Year 11 debating the topic: "Is Donald Trump a danger to democracy?" Maya J judged the Humanities writing competition for Holocaust Memorial Day and Athena-Kae in Y7 was the winner. Thanks to all that entered their fantastic poems and prose. Maya received a writing journal from Mr Cohen and Mrs Greatrex for her amazing reading and writing efforts over the last year and Athena-Kae received a copy of Hidden by Marcel Prins which is a collection of first-person accounts that shares what it was really like to go into hiding during World War II and is donated by the Library. #queensschoolbushey #holocaustmemorial #holocaustmemorialdaytrust #neverforget #secondaryschool
