Facilities
Our teaching facilities are excellent. The buildings are set in extensive and pleasant playing fields of over 30 acres. We have a range of modern science laboratories, six specially designed information technology rooms, well resourced business studies rooms, a well equipped technology block including multimedia workshops, food and textiles rooms, drama studios, a music suite with practice rooms and recording studio and an audio-visual aids department with extensive resources.
Our large Learning Resource Centre, which incorporates a Sixth Form study area, is staffed by a full time qualified librarian and two assistants. It is the central resource area for the whole school. This is supported by a computer based management and research system together with multimedia CD-ROM systems. Wireless technology, to facilitate “lap-top learning”, is being extended throughout the school. The school has internet facilities including an internal “intranet”.
The members of the teaching staff at Queens’ are highly qualified and the level of staff commitment to the school is quite exceptional both in and out of the classroom.
